Tewari mocks at BJP’s PM nominee debate
With debate raging in the BJP over making Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi its prime ministerial candidate, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari on Tuesday said Delhi is far for the party, immaterial of who leads it in general election. "BJP projected Atal Bihari Vajpayee as its prime ministerial candidate in 2004 and lost it. Similar thing happened with LK Advani in 2009. As of now, 2014 elections are far and Delhi is far for BJP," Tewari said. Former union minister and senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha on Monday backed Modi for Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime ministerial candidate but the party said that a decision will come "at an appropriate time".
